  Oxford Comma

Our House

Our house is small but perfectly formed, and in an ideal place to get into Oxford City. If you want to see how the other half used to live, then you can visit Blenheim Palace to have a nosey around or take part in the many and varied activities, with most being suitable for all ages. After that you could pop into Woodstock and visit one of the charming pubs in this beautiful (almost) Cotswold market town. If you want to see the real Cotswolds, you are within a 20-minute drive of Chipping Norton and within easy reach of the whole area of outstanding natural beauty.

The house is a short drive or bus ride to the centre of Oxford City, central Oxford train station, and only 8 minutes by car or taxi from Oxford Parkway. The house is set on a quiet plot overlooking a small green and is a good example of the modern building style of the 70s and 80s, with a layout where families could live in a safe environment, but only a few hundred meters from the road.  This creates a quiet and friendly vibe. In the summer, you will see children playing outside, and all year round, people walk their dogs through the green or in the open fields, which are a flat 5-10 minutes stroll away (depending on your pace). Your car will be parked about a 1-minute walk from the road, or you can offload even nearer at the back of the house  - detailed instructions will follow when you book.

Your entrance is by keysafe; you will get the code and further instructions closer to your time of arrival. You will be offered a flexible check-in and check-out time - all we ask is that we know and roughly agree the timings so our cleaners do not come and disturb your arrival or departure.

We now offer a generous no-linens discount! Linen and towels are included but, we do offer a 10% discount to your stay for bringing your own. It's less work for our cleaners and cheaper for you, so we see this as a win-win! If you do choose the own linens discount, you will be sent the bed sizes when you book. We will still supply bath mat, duvets and pillows, kitchen towels, bathroom hand towel, and washing up cloths.

Bedroom 1

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 1 has a superking-sized bed with a very comfy, fancy mattress. There are two large sets of drawers and hanging hooks with wooden hangers. The room also has a large wall mirror and a mid-century armchair. There are wall-mounted reading lamps, main ceiling lights, and mood lighting around the bed, should you want a cosier atmosphere. This room overlooks the green, and you can happily leave the bedroom windows open when you sleep as it is usually very quiet.
There are venetian blinds and blackout blinds to use as you prefer.

The second bedroom has a full kingsize bed with a the same fancy comfy mattress as bedroom 1. The room is admittedly small but we prefer to have a lovely big bed and less floor space!
This room overlooks the garden and has no traffic either. Again, you can sleep with the windows open as it is generally very quiet. There are venetian blinds and blackout blinds in this room too.

The first-floor hall cupboard has ample hanging space if you wish to hang up your clothes.

Nursery/study

We have a small desk with working lamp and if you have a baby, there's a baby bath that fits perfectly into the shower cubicle. Please bring your own baby blankets; we can provide a fitted cot sheet.
